Licensing and Certification Highlights
Jean Mitchell received her Real Estate license in 1962 while living in San Diego, California. After receiving her Real Estate Broker license, she continued her education. Jean attended both Moorpark College and Palomar College. She received the California Real Estate teaching credential from the University of California, Davis Extension in Sacramento. She was a Real Estate Instructor at Palomar College.
Jean has a blend of Real Estate skills including Internet Technology Expertise to market property effectively including the United States & U.K.
Real Estate Career Achievements
Jean started her professional career with Forest E. Olson Company working with Tom Hopkins (the national motivational speaker) who was the manager of that office. When Coldwell Banker, a national Real Estate company bought the Forest E. Olson Company, Jean moved to Sacramento to be closer to her family.
She moved to Sacramento to join Red Carpet Realty, a growing, national Real Estate company. Later, this company needed a manager to open six Real Estate offices in the San Diego area. So, she returned to San Diego to find locations and open offices. When all six offices were successful, she moved back to Sacramento and purchased Academy of Real Estate, which had a manager and Real Estate instructors. This was for people preparing for licensing plus continuing education for people currently licensed. During this time, she also rejoined Coldwell Banker. The company was opening new offices. They chose her to manage one of those offices. Her office was a top producer for the company. During her tenure, that office frequently was #1 in monthly production for sales or listings in the in the United States.
As Coldwell Banker experience corporate difficulties, it closed many offices. So, Jean returned to San Diego to become an associate with Lawrence Welk Resorts in Escondido, California. She quickly became a top agent receiving special awards (diamond ring designed as a champagne glass, custom-designed diamond dial Rolex wristwatch, and others) from Mr. Welk personally. She was the first agent there to exceed $1 million in sales. That was a huge achievement in those years when sales averaged $6,000.
